Can shampoo cause hair loss?

To avoid a build-up of product in your hair, you should try to limit your use of leave-in conditioner to once or twice a week.
What is caffeine shampoo?
Caffeine shampoos, like Alpecin and Plantur 39, are designed to treat hair loss by using caffeine extract.
The idea is that caffeine will be absorbed into the scalp and stimulate the hair follicles to regrow, however, research into its efficacy is ongoing.
It’s recommended that you should leave the shampoo in your hair for around 2 minutes before rinsing.
How does dry shampoo work?
Dry shampoo contains alcohol and starch-based ingredients to soak up the oils collecting in your hair.
By removing these oils and adding fragrance, your hair will feel much cleaner and fresher.
Technically, though, it doesn’t wash or clean your hair and shouldn’t be used as a complete replacement for your regular shampoo.
It simply disguises any dirt or grease on your scalp so you can go longer between washes.
