How does this Neutrogena shampoo work?
This shampoo works by helping to shed the dead skin that contributes to the skin condition and also slow down the production of new cells. Psoriasis is caused by excess skin cells being formed. Coal tar, the active ingredient, will also help to treat itching caused by any skin condition.
Who is T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo suitable for?
It is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over. It is not suitable for anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the shampoo. You should also not use this shampoo if you have a rare form of psoriasis that causes redness or inflammation of the skin.
Is this shampoo suitable for someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?
It is recommended that someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding does not use this T/Gel shampoo unless told to do so by a medical professional.
How often should I use this T/Gel Shampoo?
You should use it every three days for the best results. It should be used for a maximum of 6 weeks and there is no improvement after that time, then speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist.
Are there any side effects?
There is a chance of side effects, though it is rare. Potential side effects include:
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
- Dry hair
- Hair loss
- Acne
- A rash
