Frequently Asked Questions

Are disinfectant wipes better than spray?

Disinfectant wipes contain the perfect amount of ingredients to effectively eliminate bacteria, but they can be bad for the environment if disposed of incorrectly.

If you’re sensitive to the chemicals in cleaning products, wipes might be a better option as you won’t have to breathe in any harmful substances.

Sprays, however, can cover a larger area as you are in control of the amount of liquid that’s released.

Are wipes recyclable?

No, wipes cannot be recycled.

This includes all wet wipes, from kitchen and bathroom wipes to baby wipes and toilet tissue wipes.

They’re not flushable, either, and should always be placed in your rubbish bin when you’re ready to dispose of them.

Can disinfectant wipes kill coronavirus?

Lots of disinfectant wipes are effective against killing coronaviruses in addition to other illness-causing viruses and bacteria, but just because it says disinfectant on the packaging, don’t assume that it does.

Read the label carefully as it will inform you which types of germs it can kill, including coronaviruses.

Are wipes allowed on a plane?

Wipes are wet, but they’re not wet enough to be considered a liquid.

So you’re safe to put wipes - whether it be baby wipes, disinfecting wipes, makeup wipes or just wet wipes - into your hand luggage, without needing to use well-needed space in your liquid bag.
