SolpaOne 1000mg Soluble Paracetamol Tablets are an effervescent tablet that can help to relieve mild to moderate pain and fever. 

 

How SolpaOne 1000mg Soluble Paracetamol Tablets works

SolpaOne contains paracetamol. Paracetamol belongs to a group of medicines known as analgesics and antipyretics. They work by relieving mild to moderate pain. 

 

Directions

Always take SolpaOne 1000mg Soluble Paracetamol Tablets exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 

Place 1 tablet in a full glass of water and allow it to completely dissolve. The solution can be consumed up to 8 hours after it has been dissolved. 

1 tablet should be taken every 6 hours. You must not exceed taking 1 tablet per dose. Do not consume more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.

Do not take these tablets for more than 10 days without speaking to your doctor.

 

Side effects

Like all medicines, SolpaOne 1000mg Soluble Paracetamol Tablets may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include: 

 

  • Drowsiness and tiredness
  • Rashes 
  • Itching

 

If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

 

Serious side effects

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 

 

Warnings

SolpaOne 1000mg Soluble Paracetamol Tablets may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have any of the following: 

 

  • Kidney problems 
  • Liver problems, including problems caused by excessive alcohol consumption 
  • Gilbert’s syndrome 
  • Haemolytic anaemia
  • Asthma and you are sensitive to aspirin 
  • Dehydration or chronic malnutrition 
  • Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency 

 

This medication is not suitable for anyone who weighs less than 50kg.

 

Using/taking other medicines

If you are taking or have recently taken any medication including medication that is obtained without a prescription, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. 

Tell your doctor if you are taking: 

 

  • Drugs to thin the blood (e.g. warfarin)
  • Medicines to relieve sickness (e.g. metoclopramide, domperidone)
  • Medicines to treat high cholesterol (e.g. cholestyramine)
  • Probenecid 
  • Medicines to treat fever or mild pain (e.g. aspirin, salicylamide)
  • Medicines to treat epilepsy (e.g. lamotrigine)
  • Medicines to treat tuberculosis (e.g. isoniazid) 
  • Certain antibiotics (e.g. flucloxacillin)

 

Age restrictions 

This product is not suitable for anyone under 16 years old. 

 

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

This medication can be used during pregnancy if it is necessary. You should use the lowest dose possible that reduces your pain and/or fever. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine. 

 

Alcohol

Do not drink alcohol when you are taking this medication. 

 

Driving and operating machinery 

This product can cause tiredness and dizziness; if you find yourself affected, do not drive until you feel safe to do so.

 

Storage information

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
