E45 has been a household name for over 60 years, using their skincare expertise to create their signature E45 Cream in 1952.
Today, E45 Cream is still going strong, soothing and protecting your skin just as perfectly as it always has.
However, in recent years E45 has expanded its lines to include lotions, itch relief creams, body washes, and bath emollients that help to make managing your sensitive skin that much easier.
E45 has grown from humble beginnings to a beloved skincare product that’s used in homes everywhere, soothing your dry, sensitive skin when you need it most.
E45 Cream is used to soothe and hydrate dry skin, whether this is caused by everyday dehydration or a dry skin condition.
It can be used to soothe skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis, helping to keep your skin from losing any of the much-needed moisture it creates and helping you to manage these conditions effectively.
As well as E45 cream, there’s E45 Itch Relief Cream, which not only helps to hydrate your skin, but contains an active ingredient that helps to relieve itching.
Itching is a common symptom of eczema and dermatitis, and scratching your itchy skin can make your skin more vulnerable to irritants that will only make your condition worse.
This is why the range of E45 creams are ideal for those who suffer with dry skin conditions and need a product that will help them to keep their skin feeling soft and healthy.
E45 creams, lotions, and bath products work as emollients.
Emollients are popular remedies for dry skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis, as they help to keep your skin feeling soft and smooth and can help to prevent flare-ups.
They do this by forming a thin protective barrier over your skin that keeps moisture from escaping and keeps irritants from getting to your skin.
If you use E45 bath or shower emollients, we recommend that you pat the skin dry with a clean, dry towel after every use, as this will help to keep that protective barrier in place, rather than rubbing it away and leaving your skin open to irritants.
Emollients and moisturisers help to ease your eczema symptoms by hydrating your skin, helping to keep your skin soft and controlling your flare-ups.
Emollients work by forming a protective layer over your skin which helps to keep moisture from escaping, hydrating your skin from the inside out.
Some emollients also contain ingredients which can protect your skin from irritants like soap or detergents, taking a two-pronged approach to managing your eczema flare-ups.
E45 Cream is perfectly safe to use all over your body, including your face.
However, if you do use this cream to treat dry skin on your face, make sure that you avoid contact with your eyes.
If you do accidentally get this product into your eyes, rinse well with cool, clean water and seek medical assistance if necessary.
E45 Lotion is also completely safe to use on your face and is a lighter formula, which some people may prefer when they’re treating flare-ups on their face.
E45 Cream is safe to use on babies over the age of 1 month.
However, if you’re ever unsure whether a product is safe for your baby, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist for advice first.
You should always store E45 Cream out of sight and reach of babies and children.
The ingredients in E45 Cream are White Soft Paraffin 14.5% w/w, Light Liquid Paraffin 12.6% w/w and Anhydrous Lanolin (Medilan™) 1% w/w as active ingredients and also Empilan Glyceryl Monostearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Cetostearyl Sulphate, Carbomer, Methyl Hydroxybenzoate, Propyl Hydroxybenzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Purified Water.

There are lots of reasons why you might have dry skin.
Some people have dry skin due to skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and more, but others find that their environment affects their skin.
For example, if you work in a profession where you have to wash or scrub your hand regularly, this can dry out your skin.
Your skin can also become irritated by soaps, detergents, sanitisers, and other cleaning agents.
Other reasons why your skin can become dry or flaky can include hormonal changes and taking long, hot baths or showers.
Eczema is a condition which causes patches or wider areas of dry, itchy, irritated skin.
It’s really common, especially in children, so you probably know a few people who have eczema if you don’t have it yourself.
Eczema is a chronic condition, which means that it’s a long-term thing that won’t just go away overnight and will sometimes get better or worse.
There are many different types of eczema, but the most common type is atopic eczema, which is also known as atopic dermatitis.
