What are the benefits of CBD?

Whilst CBD products are growing in popularity, research is still ongoing to explore any beneficial effects of taking a CBD supplement.

The potential benefits may differ from person to person, so the best way to find out if Cannaray works for you is by simply giving it a try.

Does CBD interact with other medications?

There’s still ongoing research to discover any interactions between certain medications and CBD, but there is one helpful tip to see if CBD is safe for you to use - keep your eyes peeled for the grapefruit warning.

This is because some of the chemicals in grapefruit act in a similar way to CBD, so while research is ongoing, it’s best to be on the safe side.

If you consume grapefruit while on a type of medication that discourages it, it may increase the concentration of the medication in your bloodstream, leading to severe side effects or even an overdose.

Grapefruit warnings are common, so it’s important to check the information leaflet in your medications or speak to your doctor before taking CBD.

Is CBD addictive or psychoactive?

Unless CBD is combined with THC, it can’t cause the “high” sensation that’s associated with the controlled drug, Marijuana. Even CBD products that contain less than 0.2% THC don’t have enough of the compound to cause any psychoactive effects, but Cannaco’s mist sprays and drops don’t contain any THC at all, meaning that you’re at absolutely no risk of becoming high from using them. THC is the only cannabinoid that’s responsible for the negative press that often surrounds cannabis – specifically marijuana, as it binds to CB1 receptors in the brain. However, CBD doesn’t do this, and is actually thought to block these receptors, meaning that they aren’t activated by cannabidiol and that you shouldn’t experience any mind altering effects or feelings of being “high” that are usually caused by ingesting THC. It is due to the lack of psychoactive effects that CBD is legal within the UK. WHO states that CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential and is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile.
