What is Wellkid?
Wellkid is a multivitamin by Vitabiotics that has been formulated especially for children aged 4-12. Children’s diets can sometimes be low in certain nutrients such as iron, vitamin A and vitamin D - Wellkid has been designed to boost the essential vitamins and minerals that all children need for healthy growth and development. These tablets are suitable for vegetarians.
What is the recommended dosage?
The recommended dosage of Wellkid is one tablet per day taken with a main meal. The tablets should always be taken on a full stomach. As these multivitamins are chewable, your child will not need to take their tablet whole with water.
Taking a multivitamin tablet can be beneficial for your health if you don’t get enough essential vitamins and minerals through your diet alone. These tablets, however, are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
What vitamins are included in these tablets?
Wellkid includes a range of essential vitamins and minerals including vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D & E, folic acid, biotin, zinc and iron. For the full list of ingredients, refer to the patient information leaflet.
When should these tablets not be used?
Wellkid will be suitable for most children aged 4-12 years, but you should check with your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist if your child has any pre-existing medical conditions or take any other medications or herbal remedies, including those obtained without a prescription.
Are there any side effects?
Wellkid has no known side effects when taken as directed. It is possible that your child could experience nausea if they take these tablets on an empty stomach, hence why it is recommended that they take their daily dose with a main meal.
