What is IBS?
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a condition that affects the digestive system, and it is quite common. You may experience symptoms varying from stomach cramps, bloating, gas, diarrhoea and constipation. Your symptoms may come and go, last for a period of time, or you may find that certain things trigger a flare-up.
What causes IBS?
The exact cause of IBS isn’t yet known, but there are some factors that are common in people with the condition. If you’ve got an abnormality in your digestive system, it may cause discomfort when releasing gas or stool. Your brain won’t send the accurate signals to your intestines that can result in your body overreacting to the digestive process, causing discomfort, constipation and diarrhoea.
You’re more prone to developing IBS if you’ve had a serious bout of diarrhoea caused by an infection, or if you’ve got a lot of bacteria harbouring in the intestines. Stressful situations can also be a trigger for IBS in certain people, especially if it occurred during childhood.
What ingredients are included in DR.VEGAN Gut Works Capsules?
DR.VEGAN Gut Works Capsules contain inulin, a dietary fibre found in many plants that can help other gut friendly bacteria grow. These capsules are also packed full of prebiotics and probiotics to support your gut and bowel health, in addition to easing IBS symptoms. These include Lactobacillus Acidophilus, a bacteria that naturally occurs in the gut and other parts of the body, helping your digestive system to break down sugars; Lactobacillus Rhamnosus occurs naturally in your body, primarily in the intestines, and helps prevent the growth of harmful bacteria in the stomach and intestines.
Lactobacillus Casei lives in your digestive system, urinary and genital tracts, while Bifidobacterium Lactis is a good type of bacteria that lives in the intestines and helps to break down food and absorb nutrients. Streptococcus Thermophilus are bacteria living in our digestive, urinary and genital systems. Finally, there’s psyllium husk (plantago ovata) that contributes to intestinal tract and intestinal function, helping maintain a healthy bowel and facilitating intestinal transit.
Are DR.VEGAN Gut Works Capsules suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women?
