If you’ve recently dyed your hair, you may be looking for ways to prevent your new colour from fading.

 

To prevent fading, try washing your hair less frequently and choose a colour protecting shampoo.

 

You should also keep your hair hydrated with conditioners and treatments and try to avoid heat damage with a heat protection spray.

The easiest way to use tea tree oil on your hair is to find a shampoo that contains tea tree, preferably with a matching conditioner. Look out for a shampoo that contains 5% tea tree oil, as this can help you to choose a product with enough tea tree oil to make a difference to your hair.

If you have curly hair, you’re going to need a completely different set of styling products to someone with straight or wavy hair.

 

The best thing you could do it choose products specifically designed for curly hair, there are lots available that can help to give your curls definition and reduce frizz.

Some of the products you should consider picking up include curl defining cream, leave in conditioner, hair masks and smoothing serum.

Most dry shampoos are white when you spray them onto your hair, which can be worrying if you have dark or coloured hair — after all, is there anything more obvious than big white roots when you turn up to work?

 

Luckily, these dry shampoos won’t make your hair look white as long as you brush them out properly.

 

You may find that a softer brush, like a boar bristle brush, can make it easier to brush out dry shampoo and leave no trace of it in your hair.

 

Alternatively, some dry shampoos are designed to be used on different coloured hair, for example, you can buy brown dry shampoo which would be much less likely to show up in brunette hair and a range of other shades.

If you’ve got oily or greasy hair, the last thing you’d think to do is add more oil.

 

However, hair oils like argan oil can be safe to use and highly beneficial if your hair is damaged.

 

Just make sure to apply a small amount of the oil onto the ends of your wet hair, avoiding your scalp, letting it soak into your hair for a few minutes before shampooing.
