Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I moisturise if I’ve got normal / combination skin?

If you’ve got normal / combination skin, you’ll need a balancing moisturiser that will hydrate those dry spots without worsening your oiler areas.

Look for an oil-free, water-based moisturiser or one that’s non-comedogenic so it won’t block your pores - this way, your skin will be left feeling soft and supple, but shine and blemish free.

How often should I moisturise if I’ve got oily skin?

If you’ve got oily skin, you might believe that applying moisturiser onto already oily skin is counterproductive.

But you just need a moisturiser that’s suited for your skin type, and if it’s oily, you may need an oil-free, water-based, non-comedogenic moisturiser.

It’s recommended that most people should moisturise twice per day, but if your skin is oily, you can get away with doing it once.

Should I use an SPF moisturiser every day?

One of the most important elements of your skincare routine should be your daily dose of SPF 30 or above.

This applies during all seasons of the year, even if it’s never particularly sunny where you live!

Not only does SPF protect your skin from the harmful UV rays that cause skin cancer, it can also prevent premature ageing.

When should I use moisturiser?

Moisturisers are one of the most essential components of a skincare routine, but when is the best time to use them?

Always use a moisturiser after cleansing or washing your face for a boost of hydration that will prevent your skin from drying out.

Generally, using a moisturiser once in the morning (along with SPF!) and once in the evening is a good benchmark.
