What is Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter & Probiotic Extract Body Lotion?

Let Garnier take care of your skin with their Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter & Probiotic Extract Body Lotion, perfect for those suffering from very dry skin. After application, your skin will feel soft and nourished for up to 7 days.

Enriched with shea butter and a fragment of probiotic inspired by the actives found in yoghurts, this long-lasting, hydrating body moisturiser helps to reinforce the skin’s natural protective barrier, creating an anti-evaporation effect to help maintain hydration levels in your skin.

Additionally, this creamy lotion is rich in essential nutrients known to build skin lipids, helping to replenish and soften extra dry skin. Garnier’s shea butter body lotion is fast-absorbing, non-greasy and non-sticky, ideal for daily use.

How to use this product

To use Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter & Probiotic Extract Body Lotion, apply generously all over the body daily or after bathing/showering. Suitable for body use only, do not apply to the face.

What are the benefits of shea butter?

Full of moisturising goodness, shea butter is an emollient, meaning it’s great for dry skin. It’s especially beneficial to skin suffering from eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis because it soaks into the skin to create a moisture-sealing barrier, in addition to possessing soothing, anti-inflammatory properties. Shea butter is enriched with antioxidants, which can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles caused by harmful free radicals.

What is dry skin?

Certain people have naturally dry skin, where the skin doesn’t retain enough moisture. Others can develop dry skin during colder weather or due to a condition like eczema or psoriasis. If you have dry skin you may experience tightness, especially after showering, bathing or swimming. Additionally, your skin can change in texture or appearance like being rough, red and cracking, and it may flake or peel. Dry skin can be extra sensitive, too.

Why is moisturising important?

Moisturising your skin is important to replenish its protective barrier. This prevents bacteria and germs from penetrating the skin and causing an infection. If your skin becomes dehydrated and dry, it compromises the protection and regeneration of your skin, so you should always moisturise to keep the skin hydrated and its barrier strong to prevent risk and damage.

When should this product not be used?

Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
