Adults: Rub the product onto chest, throat and back, ideally before bedtime. If you sleep in any clothing, these should be worn loose so that the vapours can be inhaled easily.
Children over the age of 2: Gently apply the vapour rub ointment to chest and back. Dress in loose clothes so that the vapour can be inhaled easily.
Vapour rub can also be dissolved in hot water for inhalation. Melt approximately 2 teaspoons in a bowl of hot water. Inhale the vapours for 10-15 minutes.
Vapour rub is suitable for relieving uncomfortable symptoms caused by common cold and flu, including stuffy and blocked nose, sore throat and cough.
Do not use vapour rub if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this ointment. Do not use on children under the age of 2, as an inhalation for children under the age of 12, on broken skin, wounds or mucus membranes. Do not swallow or apply directly onto nostrils, eyes, mouth or face.
