What is Numark Vapour Rub for Cold Relief?

This vapour rub is a treatment that is designed to help relieve the effects of a sore throat, nasal congestion as well as a cough, all of which that have been caused by a cold. The vapour rub contains Eucalyptus oil, which helps to clear the blockage in the check and nose as well as soothe any soreness. 

 

How should vapour rub be used?

Adults: Rub the product onto the chest, throat and back, ideally before bedtime. If you sleep in any clothing, these should be worn loose so that the vapours can be inhaled easily.

Children over the age of 2: Gently apply the vapour rub ointment to chest and back. Dress in loose clothes so that the vapour can be inhaled easily.

Vapour rub can also be dissolved in hot water for inhalation. Melt approximately 2 teaspoons in a bowl of hot water. Inhale the vapours for 10-15 minutes.

 

When should vapour rub be used?

Vapour rub is suitable for relieving uncomfortable symptoms caused by common cold and flu, including a stuffy and blocked nose, sore throat and cough.

 

When should vapour rub not be used?

Do not use vapour rub if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this ointment. Do not use on children under the age of 2, as an inhalation for children under the age of 12, on broken skin, wounds or mucus membranes. Do not swallow or apply directly to nostrils, eyes, mouth or face.

 

Do I need a prescription to order vapour rub?

Yes, vapour rub should not interact with alcohol.
