What is Numark Children’s, Vapour Rub?

Numark Children’s Vapour Rub is an ointment that works to help breathing caused by congestion as a result of a cold or the flu. This vapour rub contains menthol and eucalyptus that help to provide relief. Both menthol and eucalyptus help to reduce nasal congestion and improve breathing. IT works for a blocked or stuffy nose.

What causes a blocked nose in a child?

A blocked nose in a child is likely to be caused by the same reasons that an adult is affected, namely a cold, the flu, or an allergy. Irritants in the environment can also cause a blocked nose. Infection is most likely to spread in close areas, such as a nursery or school. This is because the infection is most likely to spread by particles in the air that have been put there after sneezing or coughing.

Who is this vapour rub suitable for?

This vapour rub is suitable to be used for children aged 6 months and older. It should not be used if allergic to any of the ingredients that are contained in the ointment. If you are using any other treatment for a blocked nose, then speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.

Is this vapour rub suitable to be used by adults?

There is no reason why an adult cannot use this vapour rub, though, for nasal congestion, another form of treatment may be more suited for providing relief.

How should Numark Children’s Vapour Rub be used?

Only use on the skin and only use sparingly for providing relief. Keep it away from the eyes. When using on a child, adult supervision is recommended at all times.

Are there any side effects?

There is a side of side effects, though it is rare. Irritation on the skin may occur when using. If irritation, or any side effect, occurs then stop using and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible.
