What is Vicks Sinex Micromist Aqueous Nasal Spray Solution?

Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray is a form of treatment that works to relieve the effects of nasal congestion. The active ingredient in this spray in oxymetazoline, which is a decongestant that works to reduce the blockage in the nose by thinning the blood vessels that have become swollen as a result of an infection or an allergy.

What causes nasal congestion?

Nasal congestion is the result of a virus such as a cold or the flu getting into the body through the nose and attaching itself to the cells at the back of the nose. This infection spreads and one of the first symptoms is a blocked nose as the blood vessels become inflamed as a result of the infection.

Who is this nasal spray suitable for?

This spray is suitable to be used by adults and children aged 12 and over. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the spray. If you are using medication with any other decongestant in it, do not use this spray. For any other type of medication and using this spray, speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this spray?

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should speak to a medical professional before using this spray.

How should Vicks Sinex Micromist Aqueous Nasal Spray Solution be used?

The recommended dosage for this spray is 1-2 sprays into each nostril every 6-8 hours. Before using for the first time, prime the nozzle by pressing 2 times to ensure the spray comes out correctly.

Are there any side effects?

A side effect is likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice a side effect then stop using and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. You can also record any side effect that you notice using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Vicks Sinex Micromist Aqueous Nasal Spray Solution – 15ml Reviews

Nesha Victoria,

My go to for blocked and stuffed nose. Works quite quickly and truly opens up my nose for very long time. Have tried so many different nasal sprays in the past. Most don't even do anything for me and if they clear my nose at all it's usually for just an hour or so. With Vicks Micromist I only have to spray maybe 3 times in 24 hours
