What is Lemsip Cough Syrup For Dry Cough?

Lemsip Cough Syrup For Dry Cough is a solution that is designed to treat a dry cough, as well as a sore throat. It works thanks to the active ingredients that are contained in the syrup. These are:

  • Citric acid monohydrate
  • Glycerol
  • Honey
  • Lemon oil terpeneless
  • Sucrose

Citric acid coats the throat which reduces the effect of a dry cough. This lining also helps to soothe a sore throat. Glycerol helps to reinforce the lubrication effect of the syrup and helps to thicken the liquid. Honey is seen as one of the best natural forms of treatment for a cough and helps to relieve the effects. Lemon oil, like citric acid, is an acidic ingredient that helps with reducing the effects of a cough. The sucrose, like glycerol, helps to lubricate and soothe the throat.
