What is Calpol Blocked Nose Spray?

Calpol Blocked Nose Spray is a saline nasal spray that can help to clear up blocked noses in adults and children over 3. If you or your child are suffering with a blocked nose, it can be very uncomfortable and can even cause headaches in some cases. Calpol Blocked Nose Spray is a gentle solution that helps to rinse away blockages in your nose, clearing your airways and easing congestion with just a few sprays.

Why does my child have a blocked nose?

There are lots of reasons why you or your child may have a blocked nose, and usually, it’s nothing to worry about. A blocked nose will usually clear up by itself, but it can be uncomfortable and can cause distress in younger children who don’t understand why they can’t breathe through their nose. This is why many people reach for decongestants that can help to clear their airways to they can breathe easily again. Some of the most common causes of a blocked nose include:

  • Hay fever or other allergies
  • A cold or the flu
  • Catarrh
  • Sinusitis
  • Recovering from nasal surgery

How will Calpol Blocked Nose Spray ease congestion?

Calpol Blocked Nose Spray contains a preservative-free isotonic saline solution, which contains sodium chloride as its main ingredient. Saline solution is a popular way to clear congestion in your nose gently and naturally, as it helps to hydrate the mucous membranes in your nose, cleaning out dried mucous crusts in the process. By rinsing away any blockage, this product helps to clear your airways so you can breathe more easily. It also helps to clear away any irritants that have made their way into your nose, such as pollen, helping to reduce allergy symptoms in the process.

Is this product suitable for infants?

Calpol Blocked Nose Spray is designed to be used by adults and children over the age of 3. If you have an infant or a toddler who is younger than 3 who is suffering from a blocked nose, why not try Calpol Soothe & Care Nasal Spray or Nasal Drops? These products both use saline to unblock your child’s nose gently and can be used from birth.
