What is Diabetone Plus?
Diabetone is a multivitamin by Vitabiotics that has been specifically formulated to safeguard the nutritional requirements of those with diabetes. These multivitamins contain chromium which contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, vitamin B6 for protein and glycogen metabolism and thiamin (vitamin B1) which contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Diabetone Plus contains 28 Diabetone multivitamin tablets and 28 omega-3 capsules. These vitamins are not a treatment for diabetes or metabolic control - they are intended to help maintain overall nutritional health and wellbeing.
What is the recommended dosage?
The recommended dosage is one tablet and one capsule per day, to be taken with or immediately after your main meal with water or a cold drink. Do not take Diabetone Plus on an empty stomach or with a hot drink, as this may cause them to disintegrate too early.
Taking a multivitamin can be beneficial for your health if you don’t get enough essential vitamins and minerals through your diet alone. These tablets & capsules, however, are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
What vitamins are included in these tablets?
Diabetone tablets include a range of essential vitamins and minerals including vitamin D, vitamin C, biotin, zinc, selenium, chromium and more. The capsules included with Diabetone Plus contain omega-3. For the full list of ingredients, refer to the patient information leaflet.
When should this product not be used?
Diabetone Plus should be suitable for most people, but you should check with your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or take any other medications or herbal remedies, including those obtained without a prescription.
Diabetone Plus is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans as the capsules contain fish oil in a pharmaceutical grade gelatin capsule.
Are there any side effects?
Diabetone Plus has no known side effects when taken as directed. It is possible that you could experience nausea if you take these tablets and capsules on an empty stomach, hence why it is recommended that you take your daily dose with a main meal.
