How do Veet Bikini & Underarm Wax Strips work?

Veet Bikini & Underarm Wax strips utilise Easy-Gelwax™ technology which removes hair from the root, for up to 28 days of smoothness on your bikini line and underarms. Unlike some wax strips, Veet Wax Strips have a pleasant aroma and are easy to use for those who are both experienced and have little experience with wax strips. This is because they are specifically designed for use on the bikini and underarm area and are specially formulated with almond oil and Vitamin E which are known for their benefits on sensitive skin.

What is Easy-Gelwax™

This is the new wax formula developed by Veet which makes hair removal easy and convenient. Unlike traditional wax strips, they do not need to be warmed up between your hands before use. The wax flows around the hairs, gripping on to only the hair and not the skin, ensuring a silky smooth result.

 

 

How to use Veet Wax Strips

Beautiful smooth skin is achieved in just 4 easy steps:

1. Carefully peel the strips apart using the outwards rounded tabs.
2. On bikini: bend your leg outwards, place a strip on your skin and rub repeatedly in the direction of hair growth.

• underarm: put one hand behind your head and stretch your arm back to hold your skin taut, lift the elbow up and well back to tighten the skin. Place a strip onto one half of the underarm and rub repeatedly in the direction of the hair growth (away from the centre of the underarm)

1. Grasp the tab and pull the strip back on itself as quickly as you can, against the direction the hair grows. Pull the strip back in one swift motion, close to the skin, rather than away from it.
2. After waxing, clean away any wax left on your skin with a perfect finish wipe.

Waxing tips

Veet makes waxing easy and convenient, but if you want to get the most out of your wax follow these simple steps:

Prep

• Ensure your hair is at least 1.5mm long- the wax may not be able to grip the hair properly otherwise
• 24 hours before waxing, use a mild exfoliator to clean any dirt or dead skin
• Patch-test a small area of your skin that you wish to treat 24 hours before your waxing session- do NOT use if there is an adverse reaction
• Have a shower right before waxing and ensure that your skin is dry
• Try applying baby powder to the skin to help soak up any moisture or oils on the skin so the wax attaches to the hair

Bikini Line

• Find somewhere comfortable to do your waxing, e.g. try laying a towel on the floor or on your bed to protect from any potential mess
• Sit with your knees slightly bent and your legs turned outward
• Your first bikini wax can be a little tricky, so keep a mirror on hand to help with those hard to see areas.

Underarm

• Cut the wax strips to size if necessary, to deal with harder to reach areas
• Hair grows in two directions under your arms, so remember that you need to apply the product in two different stages for each direction of hair growth
• Don’t use scented products, go swimming, sunbathe or use a tanning bed for at least 24 hours after hair removal

 

 

When NOT to use Veet Wax Strips

Do NOT use this product if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list). Waxing is not suitable for the elderly, diabetic or people taking oral retinoids.

Side Effects

If you experience any tingling/stinging during use, remove the product immediately using the back of a used strip, Perfect Finish wipe or baby oil and then rinse thoroughly with cold water. If the discomfort persists, seek medical advice.
