What are Tums Assorted Fruit Antacid 75 Tablets?

Tums Assorted Fruit Antacid Tablets are an antacid tablet which helps the reduce the acidity of any excess stomach acid. This helps to ease stomach problems such as indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, and trapped wind or flatulence.

Who are Tums Antacid Tablets suitable for?

They are suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over who are suffering from indigestion, heartburn, or wind. If you’re sick of having to deal with indigestion after you eat, these fruit flavoured tablets can help to ease your discomfort so you won’t have to worry about your stomach giving you bother after a meal.

What is indigestion?

Indigestion is the discomfort you can sometimes feel in your stomach after you’ve eaten a meal. Many people suffer from indigestion at some point in their lives, and it usually isn’t anything to worry about. If you have indigestion, you may notice any of the following symptoms after you’ve eaten:

  • Stomach pain or nausea
  • Feeling bloated or full
  • Wind or flatulence
  • Heartburn or acid reflux
  • Bringing up food or unpleasant tasting fluid

How do these tablets help to ease indigestion?

Tums Antacid tablets contain the active ingredient calcium carbonate, which helps to neutralise your stomach acid. When you have excess stomach acid, this can irritate the delicate lining of your stomach and may cause stomach acid to try to work its way up to your throat, which leads to heartburn. Neutralising stomach acid helps to ease the discomfort of indigestion, prevent acid reflux and heartburn, and reduce embarrassing wind.
