Contour Plus - 50 Blood Glucose Test Strips

What are Contour® Plus Test Strips? 

Contour® Plus Test Strips are blood glucose testing strips designed for the Contour® Plus Blue monitoring system. These test strips deliver highly accurate results with an independently verified level of ± 10%. The Second-Chance™ feature will allow you to apply more blood to the strip for up to 30 seconds if necessary, making the monitoring process quicker and easier.

Which Contour® devices are compatible? 

Contour® Plus Test Strips are compatible with the Contour® Plus Blue and the Contour® Plus blood glucose meters. If you have a different Contour® device, such as Next or TS, these test strips will not work with your blood glucose meter and you will need to find the correct corresponding strips. 

How to use these test strips

Start by thoroughly washing and drying your hands. Insert the grey end of your test strip into the Contour® Plus Blue monitoring device to turn it on. Draw blood from your finger using a lancing device. When the ‘apply blood’ screen appears, touch the test strip to the blood and hold it until the meter beeps. Wait 5 seconds - at the end of the countdown, your result will be displayed on the screen. To turn the meter off, remove the test strip. 

Can you reuse test strips?

Blood glucose test strips should never be used more than once. However, with Contour® Plus Test Strip’s Second-Chance™ sampling feature, you can apply more blood to the same strip within 30 seconds if you didn’t apply a sufficient amount the first time, but you mustn’t reuse the strip once you’ve received your result. 

Storage information

Store your test strips at room temperature and do not use them if they have been damaged in any way. Contour® Plus Test Strips have a 24-month shelf life, even once the strip pot is opened. Do not use the test strips after the expiry date.
