What are Tena Lady Extra?

Tena Lady Extra are sanitary pads designed to help women to manage urinary incontinence. They’re shaped to fit a woman’s body comfortably and use dermatologically tested materials which are kind to your skin. These pads are as thin and discreet as a sanitary towel, but offer all of the protection you need as you manage your incontinence.

What is incontinence?

Incontinence is a condition where you pass urine without meaning to, which can be frequent leaks or a few drops of moisture. It’s a common condition, but many people choose not to talk about it, as they may find it embarrassing. There are different types of urinary incontinence, which includes:

• Stress incontinence – Which happens when your bladder is put under stress, such as when you laugh or sneeze, or during exercise
• Urge incontinence – Which happens when you feel a sudden, strong urge to pee, followed by passing urine without meaning to
• Overflow incontinence – Which happens when you are unable to empty your bladder completely, causing overflows or leaks
• Total incontinence – Which happens when your bladder is unable to hold any urine at all, causing frequent leaks or surges

When would I use these incontinence pads?

Tena Lady Extra pads are perfect for those who experience moderate incontinence, with medium sized leaks or wetness. They’re perfect for daytime or night-time use, adapting to the shape of your body and staying in place, providing all the protection you need.

How to use this product

Remove the Tena Lady pad from it’s individual wrapping and peel the backing paper away from the sticky side of the pad. With the sticky side facing down, press the pad into the inside of your underwear to attach it firmly. When it’s time to change your pad, peel it away from your underwear and throw it away in a sanitary bin or with your regular household waste. Do not attempt to flush these pads down the toilet.
