What are Tena Lady Extra pads?
Tena Lady Extra pads are designed for women who suffer with mild to moderate bladder weakness and need a convenient way to manage leaks and wetness. These pads are super soft on your skin, helping to keep you comfortable all day long. Each of these Tena pads comes individually wrapped, so you can carry a spare pad with you no matter where you’re going.
What is bladder weakness?
Bladder weakness, which is also known as urinary incontinence, is a common condition, although you may not realise how common as many people prefer not to talk about it. It can happen for a number of reasons, including natural childbirth, age, or due to a medical condition. There are different types of bladder weakness, including:
- Stress incontinence – Where you pass urine when your bladder is under stress, e.g. when you exercise, laugh, cough, or sneeze
- Urge incontinence – Where you feel a strong urge to pee, followed by accidentally passing urine
- Overflow incontinence – Where you are unable to completely empty your bladder, causing it to overflow or leak
- Total incontinence – Where your bladder is incapable of holding any urine at all, which can cause more frequent or constant leaks

When would I use these pads?
You can use Tena Lady Extra pads to manage mild to moderate bouts of bladder weakness. These pads rate a 3 out of 8 on Tena’s absorbency scale and each pad can hold around 300ml of fluid comfortably. This makes these pads ideal for everyday use, keeping you dry and fresh no matter where the day may take you.
How to use this product
Start by removing a Tena Lady Extra pad from its packaging and peeling the protective backing paper away from the sticky side of the pad. Position the pad in your underwear so that any areas which need protection are covered, and firmly press the pad into your underwear with the sticky side facing down. When you’ve finished using this pad, peel the used pad out of your underwear and throw it away into a sanitary bin or with your regular household waste. Do not try to flush these pads down the toilet.
