What is Oilatum Junior Bath Formula?

Oilatum Junior Bath Formula is a form of treatment that helps to reduce the effects of dry skin. This works thanks to the active ingredient light liquid paraffin, which helps form a protective barrier over the skin which prevents moisture from escaping the skin, causing dry skin. Besides treating dry skin, this bath additive also softens and soothes the skin.

What causes dry skin in children?

A child’s skin is more sensitive than adults and as a result, it can become dry quite easily. In most cases, this is not a serious problem and can be treated easily. The outdoors, in particularly cold or hot air, can remove moisture from the skin. Air conditioning, salted water and chlorine can all contribute to causing dry skin. Spending too long in the bath or certain soaps will remove moisture as well. In rarer cases, some types of medication can also cause dry skin.

Who is this bath additive suitable for?

This additive is suitable to be used by a child of any age who is suffering from the effects of dry skin. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients that are contained in the treatment. If any form of medication is currently being used, then it is recommended that you speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.

How should Oilatum Junior Bath Formula be used?

Add ½-2 capfuls of the solution into a bath. Apply the solution gently over the skin using a sponge. Pat the skin dry after using. It can be used as often as it is needed in order to provide relief.

Are there any side effects?

A side effect is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction, which can cause skin redness or itchiness. If you notice a side effect, stop using and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. If you notice a side effect, then you can also record a side effect using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
