Directions
Always use NiQuitin Quitter exactly as described in the information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.
The first part of this bundle is the 14mg patch. These patches are to be used after completing step 1 of the Step Down Quitting Programme. Apply these patches to your skin once a day.
The 7mg patches are to be used once you have completed the 14mg patches.
The patches can be worn continuously for 24 hours. When you change the patch, apply a new one to a different position on your body. To help the patch stick, apply it to a hair-free area of your body.
You should ideally apply the patches at the same time every day, preferably first thing in the morning.
Side effects
Like all products, NiQuitin Quitter may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include:
- Skin redness
- Itching/burning Skin
- Difficulty sleeping
- Headaches
- Vivid dreams
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
Warnings
NiQuitin may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, if you are a non-smoker or if you have never been a regular smoker.
Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have any of the following:
- Diabetes
- Serious liver or kidney problems
- Uncontrolled overactive thyroid gland
- Adrenal gland tumour
- Allergic eczema or dermatitis (you may have an allergic reaction to the patch)
- Stomach or duodenal ulcers
- If you have ever experienced seizures
Using/taking other medicines
Quitting smoking can alter the effect of other medications you may be taking. If you have any concerns, contact your healthcare provider.
Age restrictions
Children under 12 should not use this product. Children are more susceptible to the effects of nicotine meaning it could increase severe toxicity. This can be fatal.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant it is best to give up without the use of nicotine replacement. If you find that too difficult then it is safer to use NiQuitin than it is to smoke. If you use this product during pregnancy, start as early as possible.
Try to only use it for 2 to 3 months. If you use these patches, make sure to remove them before you go to bed.
If you are breastfeeding, just like during pregnancy, nicotine replacements are safer than cigarettes.

Storage information
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
