What is Floradix Liquid Magnesium?
Floradix Liquid Magnesium is a food supplement containing 250mg of magnesium per 20ml dose. Magnesium is a vital mineral that contributes to normal muscle function and helps to maintain normal nerve and psychological functions.
What is the recommended dosage?
Floradix Liquid Magnesium is suitable for adults and children over the age of 3 years old. The recommended doses for each age group are as follows:

Adults and children over 12 years old: 20ml once daily, before a meal

Children 6-12 years old: 10ml once daily

Children 3-5 years old: 5ml once daily
What is magnesium?
Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body, essential for bone health and energy production. It’s generally found in leafy green vegetables, whole grain bread, brown rice, dairy products, seeds, nuts, meat and seafood. Conditions such as type 2 diabetes, alcohol dependence, gastrointestinal diseases and advanced age may increase the risk of magnesium deficiency.

Always read the patient information leaflet before use and do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Are there any side effects?
It is unlikely that Floradix Liquid Magnesium will cause any significant side effects. High doses of magnesium can cause diarrhoea, but this shouldn’t occur unless you exceed the recommended dose. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction (swelling of the face, difficulty breathing, skin rash) seek medical attention immediately. If you experience any side effects, including any that are not listed in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
Storage information
Store out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
