What is Artelac Nighttime Gel?

Atelac Nighttime Gel is a treatment that helps to restore moisture in the eyes that have been lost as a result of gritty, dry, or irritated eyes. This gel contains 3 active ingredients that help to provide relief for dry eyes. These are:

  • Triglyceride lipids
  • Carbomer gel
  • Sterile water

Triglyceride lipids work by sealing in moisture in the eyes. Carbomer gel prolongs the amount of time moisture rests on the surface of the eye. Sterile water restores any lost moisture.

 

What causes dry eyes?

Having dry eyes is a common condition that can affect. In most cases, it is not serious and can be treated quite easily. There are a number of potential conditions that can cause dry eyes. These include:

  • Age – It is more common in people over 50
  • Wearing contact lenses
  • Looking at computer screens for long periods
  • Air conditioned environments
  • Windy, dusty, cold, or dry outside
  • Smoking
  • Drinking alcohol
  • Certain types of medication such as antidepressants

Some of the symptoms of dry eyes are itchiness, soreness, redness, blurry vision and sensitivity to light.

How should Artelac Nighttime Gel be used?

Apply 1-2 drops into each eye as needed to provide relief from dry eyes. It can be used for as long as needed.
