What causes dry mouth?
Having a dry mouth is a very common problem, in fact, it is thought to affect 1 in 4 adults in the UK. There are a variety of factors that can cause a dry mouth, including:
- Medications – More than 500 medications have dry mouth as a side effect
- Cancer therapy – Dry mouth is one of the most common issues during and after radiotherapy treatment
- Autoimmune diseases – Such as Sjögren’s Syndrome
- Diabetes
- Snoring/breathing through your mouth at night
How does Oralieve work to relieve dry mouth symptoms?
Unlike many other dry mouth products, Oralieve is formulated with a unique combination of bioactive ingredients including enzymes, lactoperoxidase and glucose oxidase, which have been shown to help dry mouth sufferers, as well as Xylitol which protects your teeth. The enzyme system in Oralieve products helps to supplement natural saliva to help protect oral tissues and promote a healthy mouth. This product is gentle on the mouth and provides effective, lasting relief from dry mouth.
