What are NovoFine Autocover Pen Needles?
NovoFine Autocover Pen Needles are thin needles designed for less pain, fitted with a protective shield that retracts during injection. After injecting, the shield re-covers the needle and locks back into place, which may help reduce the risk of accidental needlesticks and needle reuse. These needles are 8mm in length and, with SuperFlow™ technology, are designed to enhance flow rates and reduce dosage force. NovoFine Autocover Pen Needles are designed to fit most pen injector devices.
How to use these needles
Start by thoroughly washing and drying your hands. Take the protective tab off the needle. With the needle tip pointing away from you, attach the needle tightly onto the delivery device. Pull off the needle cap. Always check the flow in the delivery device before each injection by performing an air shot - follow the procedure described in the delivery device instruction leaflet.
When injecting, the needle shield will retract and allow the needle to penetrate the skin. The safety mechanism will be activated automatically when the needle is withdrawn from the skin. The red indicator tells you that the safety lock has been activated. If the red indicator does not appear, the safety lock has not been engaged, and a needle stick injury may still occur. After the injection, remove the needle without replacing the needle cap and dispose of it in a sharps bin.

Reusing needles can also result in blockages, making it more difficult to deliver your medicine during the next injection. Not only that, but it can also increase the risk of breakage and damage your skin.
Storage information
Store NovoFine Autocover Pen Needles out of sight and reach of children. When disposing of used needles, make sure to use a sharps bin. Used needles must never be broken or bent before disposal and you must never try to recap a needle.
