What is Nelsons Calendula Cream?
This is a multi-purpose skin cream that uses the calendula plant in the solution because of its healing properties. It is traditionally used in the treatment of rough and sore skin.
How does it work?
The active ingredient calendula works to help restore the lost skin moisture caused by a range of skin conditions. Unlike other creams, Nelsons Calendula uses natural ingredients, which means that there is less chance of side effects. Calendula has an anti-inflammatory agent that can also help to treat wounds.
Who is this cream suitable for?
As this cream contains natural ingredients, it should be suitable for adults and children, though if you are unsure, contact your doctor. Anyone who is allergic to the ingredients. These are:
- Isopropyl palmitate
- Cetearyl alcohol
- Caprylic/capric triglyceride
- Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) butter
- Glyceryl stearate citrate
- Cera alba (Beeswax)
- Cetyl palmitate
- Caprylyl glycol
- Calendula ofﬁcinalis (Calendula) extract
- Xanthan gum
- Potassium sorbate
- Citric acid
Can Nelsons Calendula Cream be used by someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended that you speak to your doctor before using this cream. This is because there is no evidence as to the effects this cream would have.
Can this cream be used when using any medication?
If you are using any medication currently, it is advisable to speak to a doctor before using this cream. The ingredients in the medication and this cream could potentially with each other, nullifying the effectiveness of both. Using this cream could also be a benefit if you are using a cream for eczema, for example. This is because Nelsons Calendula Cream will increase the amount of liquid that the skin absorbs. Therefore, more of the eczema cream would be absorbed into the skin, improving its effectiveness. This is not proven however and you will need to speak to a doctor to find out if this is the case.
How should Nelsons Calendula Cream be used?
Apply the cream to the affected area and then reapply as and when needed. Rub the cream in gently in order to avoid further irritation.
Are there any side effects?
Any side effect will likely be as a result of an allergic reaction. If you notice any allergic reaction, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store in a cool place.
