Liberize Tablets are used to treat erectile dysfunction in men.
How Liberize Tablets work
Liberize Tablets contain the active ingredient sildenafil. Sildenafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis. This allows blood to flow into your penis so that you can get and maintain an erection.
Directions
Always take Liberize Tablets exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.
Take 1 tablet 1 hour before sexual activity.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Do not take more than 1 tablet per day.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Liberize Tablets may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include:
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Indigestion
- Stuffy nose
- Dizziness
- Facial flushing/hot flushes
- Visual disturbance

Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following serious side effects:
- Chest pains
- A prolonged and painful erection lasting more than 4 hours
- A sudden decrease or loss of vision
- Seizures
Warnings
Liberize Tablets may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have any of the following:
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes
- High cholesterol
- Cardiovascular disease
Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have any of the following:
- Problems with the valves in the heart
- Cardiomyopathy
- Arrhythmia
- Have had surgery to increase the blood flow in your heart
- Have ever had an erection lasting more than 4 hours
- You have a stomach ulcer or bleeding disorder
- You have previously been diagnosed with liver disease or kidney problems
- You have ever had severe vision loss because of nerve damage in the eyes
Using/taking other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medication. Do not take Liberize Tablets if you are on the following medication:
- Nitrate medicines
- Riociguat
- Medicines to treat HIV infections
Age restrictions
This medication is not suitable for under 18’s.
Food and drink
Do not take Liberize Tablets with grapefruit or grapefruit juice as this can affect how the medication works.
Alcohol
To benefit from the medication you are advised not to drink large amounts of alcohol.
Driving and operating machinery
This medication can cause dizziness and can affect your vision. If you are affected do not drive or operate machinery.
Storage information
Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
