What is Eucerin Replenishing Cream 5% Urea with Lactate & Carnitine?
Eucerin Replenishing Cream is a form of treatment for dry, rough, and scaly skin that helps to rehydrate the skin as well as protect it from further irritation. This cream contains the ingredients urea, lactate, and carnitine. All of which helps to keep the skin moisturised.
How does it work?
The cream works by helping to restore the moisture in the skin by increasing the amount that is absorbed by the skin. As well as that, it will also form a barrier over the skin that will protect from further dryness and irritation. This cream is particularly useful for areas on the elbow or knees.
Who is this Eucerin Cream suitable for?
This cream is suitable for those who are suffering from dry skin and want an effective form of treatment. This cream is not suitable for anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the cream.
Can this cream be used by someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?
There is no evidence that there would be any problems with this cream. However, it is recommended that you speak to a doctor before using in case there would be any problems.
Can someone who is using medication use this cream?
The cream could offer benefits if using treatments such as creams for conditions such as eczema. This is because the ingredients in Eucerin Replenishing Cream help the skin to absorb more moisture. As a result, if you are using a cream for a skin condition, it will be absorbed more, improving its effectiveness. This is not definite, and there is just as much chance of having the medication be neutralised by the cream. This would happen because the ingredients in both would interfere with each other.
How do I use this Eucerin Cream?
To use this cream, apply a small amount to dry, clean skin, and massage it into the skin until it is completely absorbed by the skin. Do this as often as necessary. Remember to keep the cream out of the eyes. If you get some in an eye, rinse it out with cool water.
Are there any side effects?
A side effect will most likely be as a result of an allergic reaction. If you notice a side effect, speak to a doctor as soon as possible. You can also report any side effect that you discover using the MHRA's Yellow Card Scheme. For more information, see the Yellow Card website.
