What is Eucerin Dry Scalp Relief Shampoo Dermo Capillaire With 5% Urea?

This Eucerin shampoo is a form of treatment that is intended to provide relief for the effects of a dry scalp. This shampoo contains two ingredients, urea and lactate, that are found in the skin naturally. These help the skin to keep in moisture and protect the skin.

What causes dry scalp?

Dry scalp can often be mistaken for dandruff, as both produce a similar symptom, skin falling off and ending up in the hair. The difference lies in how that occurs. With dandruff, it is a case of too many skin cells being produced and the old cells being discarded too quickly. As for dry scalp, the cause of flaky skin is irritation and a lack of moisture. It is important to know which condition you have.

Who is this Eucerin shampoo suitable for?

This shampoo can be used by adults and children aged 3 and over. Do not use if you have a hypersensitive scalp or suffer from dandruff. Anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the shampoo should not use it. If you are using any other form of medication, speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should seek the advice of a medical professional before using this Eucerin shampoo.

How should Eucerin Dry Scalp Relief Shampoo Dermo Capillaire With 5% Urea be used?

Wet the hair and then apply as much shampoo as needed and massage it into the hair. Leave the shampoo to soak into the scalp for a few minutes and then rinse it out thoroughly. This shampoo can be used daily if necessary.

Are there any side effects?

Like with many types of medicine, there is a chance of side effects. A side effect is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice a side effect, stop using and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. You can also record any side effect that you notice using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
