What is Cepton Medicated Skin Wash?
Cepton Medicated Skin Wash is a treatment for the skin that is intended to be used for the treatment of spots and acne. The active ingredient in this skin wash is chlorhexidine gluconate, which is a disinfectant and antiseptic. This works by treating the bacteria and the cause of spots and acne.
What is the cause of acne?
Acne is the result of hair follicles becoming blocked in the skin. It is a common condition that can affect many people. The most likely place that is affected by acne is the face. Acne causes 6 different types of the spot. These are:
- Blackheads
- Whiteheads
- Papules
- Pustules
- Nodules
- Cysts
Most of the types of the spot are not serious with the exception of cysts, which can cause scarring. Acne is often caused by puberty, in particular by testosterone in boys. Acne can also be caused by genetics if there is a family history of it and also by hormone changes in women, such as periods and pregnancy.

How should Cepton Medicated Skin Wash be used?
Use the skin wash in the morning and at night. Remove any makeup before using and then wet the hands and face with water. Wash the face with the skin wash but do not rub too hard as this can cause irritation. Rinse it off and apply again, this time leaving it on for a minute before rinsing. Do not use any soaps or detergents with this skin wash. If problems still persist after using, speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist for advice.
Are there any side effects?
A side effect is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. Potential side effects include swelling in the face as well as a skin rash.
