Buy BioSURE PCOS Hormone TestKit

The BioSURE PCOS Self Test is an at home PCOS test that measures a range of your hormone levels. Some of the hormones measured include Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and testosterone.

Taking the PCOS blood test at home can help assess if you may be suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or exclude possible causes of problems that mimic PCOS.

While there is no single test to specifically diagnose PCOS, your healthcare provider will recognise your BioSURE results. A combination of blood tests and an ultrasound or pelvic exam may be carried out for a diagnosis.

How to use

When you receive the PCOS test kit, all you need to do is take a simple finger prick sample, using the lancets that are provided in the box. Once you have done this, you can then register it online and post your kit to the laboratory using the envelope enclosed.

Your results are reviewed by the in-house GPs who will highlight any cause for concern that may need further investigation by your doctor.

You will receive your full report via email. This will show your results and how they compare with the normal reference ranges. You should expect to get your results the day after the lab receives your sample.

What is PCOS?

PCOS is a common condition that affects a woman's hormone levels and impacts the way the ovaries work. The most common time this happens is during the reproductive years.

Polycystic ovaries have a higher amount of follicles that contain immature eggs. Those with PCOS usually have follicles that are unable to release the egg, meaning that there is no ovulation.

Who should use this kit?

Women who are experiencing symptoms of PCOS should consider testing. The symptoms usually begin during the late teens or early 20s. Common symptoms of PCOS include:

  • Irregular or missed periods
  • Difficulty getting pregnant
  • Excessive hair growth
  • Weight gain
  • Oily skin or acne
  • Thinning hair or hair loss from the head
