What is Menopace Plus?
Menopace is a multivitamin by Vitabiotics that has been specifically formulated for women to be taken during and after the menopause. Certain vitamins and minerals are particularly important during the menopause, such as vitamin B6 which contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity. Menopace Plus includes an additional active botanical tablet for those looking for extra support.
What is the recommended dosage?
The recommended dosage of Menopace Plus is one of each tablet once per day taken with a main meal. The tablets should always be taken on a full stomach with water or a cold drink - avoid swallowing with a hot drink as this may cause the tablet to disintegrate too early.
Taking a multivitamin tablet can be beneficial for your health if you don’t get enough essential vitamins and minerals through your diet alone. These tablets, however, are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
What vitamins are included in these tablets?
Menopace includes a range of essential vitamins and minerals including vitamin D, vitamin C, biotin, magnesium, iron, zinc and more. The botanical tablets included in Menopace Plus contain sage, green tea, flaxseed lignans and soya isoflavones. For the full list of ingredients, refer to the patient information leaflet.
Can Menopace Plus be used with HRT medication?
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment to relieve symptoms of the menopause such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness and reduced sex drive. Generally, Menopace Plus can be used alongside medications such as HRT, as the tablets contain only moderate levels of vitamins and minerals and are free of drugs or hormones. For specific advice, speak to your doctor before taking Menopace Plus.
When should these tablets not be used?
Menopace Plus will be suitable for most women going through the menopause, but you should check with your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or take any other medications or herbal remedies, including those obtained without a prescription.
Are there any side effects?
Menopace Plus has no known side effects when taken as directed. It is possible that you could experience nausea if you take these tablets on an empty stomach, hence why it is recommended that you take your daily dose with a main meal.
