What are HuxD3 Colecalciferol 20000iu Capsules?

HuxD3 Colecalciferol 20000iu capsules are a high strength vitamin D3 supplement that can be used to treat vitamin D deficiencies in adults and children over the age of 12. The capsules are suitable for vegetarians and are compliant with halal and kosher diet requirements. The formula is administered in easy to swallow capsules that can also be chewed or burst open before administration if required, so they are suitable for those who have trouble swallowing traditional tablets. If you need a high strength, vegetarian vitamin D3 supplement to increase levels of vitamin D3, try HuxD3 capsules.

What does Vitamin D do?

Our bodies naturally create Vitamin D by converting cholesterol into Vitamin D when our skin is exposed to the sun. We can also receive small amounts of vitamin D through consuming foods like:

  • Oily fish, such as salmon, sardines, herring and mackerel

  • Red meat

  • Liver

  • Egg yolks

  • Fortified foods, such as some breads and cereals

Vitamin D is important for maintaining both our physical and mental health. Its main use is to regulate the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, as well as helping our body to absorb calcium which keeps our bones, teeth and muscles healthy and strong.

What is the difference between Vitamin D and Vitamin D3?

Vitamin D is an umbrella term, there are different types of vitamin D with the two main types being vitamin D2 and D3. Vitamin D3 is the biologically active form of the vitamin, which our body creates when the skin is exposed to sunlight. D2 is created by plants when they are exposed to the sun’s rays. As our bodies absorb and use vitamin D3 better it is recommended that you choose a vitamin supplement that contains either solely vitamin D3 or an optimum level of both D2 and D3.

How can HuxD3 help to increase Vitamin D levels?

HuxD3 contains colecalciferol (vitamin D3). Vitamin D3 and gel capsule coatings are usually sourced from animal products that are not suitable for certain dietary requirements. HuxD3 is different as the colcalciferol is sourced from wool of living sheep and the capsule shell is made from botanical sourced ingredients, so it is suitable for vegetarians. The capsules are certified halal and kosher and is also approved by the Vegetarian Society. HuxD3 is also free from:

  • Gluten

  • Alcohol

  • Preservatives

  • Yeast

  • Gelatine

  • Soya

  • Peanut

  • Nut oil

The capsules are high strength and provide 500 micrograms of Vitamin D3. HuxD3 is suitable for those who have difficulty swallowing traditional tablets as the capsules are easy to swallow and can be chewed or burst open if required. The contents of the capsules are flavour free.
