What are Nutri Within 5-HTP Tablets?

Nutri Within 5-HTP Tablets are a herbal supplement containing 200mg of 5-HTP. 5-HTP is involved in the production of serotonin, a hormone that carries signals between nerve cells throughout the body and is thought to help with mood regulation and memory.

What is the recommended dosage?

The recommended dosage is two tablets per day, swallowed whole with water. Taking a food supplement can be beneficial for your health if you don’t get enough essential vitamins and minerals through your diet alone. These tablets are not, however, a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

What is 5-HTP?

5-HTP, which stands for 5-Hydroxytryptophan, is made by the body and used to make serotonin, an important hormone for normal brain function. It may also help to produce melatonin, the hormone responsible for your sleep cycle. 5-HTP can’t be sourced from your diet - these tablets source it from the seed of Griffonia simplicfolia, a native African plant.

When should these tablets not be used?

Nutri Within 5-HTP Tablets will be suitable for most people, but you should check with your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have any pre-existing medical conditions or take any other medications or herbal remedies, including those obtained without a prescription.

Are there any side effects?

If you experience any side effects, including those that are not listed in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
