Buy BioSURE Diabetes Test Kit

The BioSURE Diabetes Test Kit is a diabetes home test kit that measures the levels of haemoglobin (A1c) in your blood. The kit can also give you an insight into your blood sugar levels over three months. The diabetes home testing kit can help you understand if you have diabetes or are at risk.

How to use

When you receive the test kit, all you need to do is take a simple finger prick sample, using the lancets that are provided in the box. Once you have done this, you can then register it online and post your kit to the laboratory using the envelope enclosed.

Your results are reviewed by the in-house GPs who will highlight any cause for concern that may need further investigation by your doctor. You will receive your full report via email, showing your results and how they compare with the normal reference ranges. You should expect to get your results the day after the lab receives your sample.

Who should use this kit?

It is common for many people to have diabetes and not be aware of it. Anyone can develop type 2 diabetes, therefore, it is important to use this test if you notice any of the following symptoms:

  • You are urinating more often than usual, particularly at night
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Excessive thirst
  • Unexplained weight loss

For anyone who has already been diagnosed with diabetes, regular Hba1c checks are recommended at a minimum of twice a year and are essential to monitor your progress.

What is diabetes?

Type 2 diabetes is a medical condition that causes you to have too much glucose in your blood. This happens when your body doesn’t make enough insulin or because your body isn’t using insulin as it should.

Some of the foods you consume are broken down into glucose, which makes its way into your bloodstream. The role of insulin is to move the insulin from your blood and put it into the cells where it is used for energy. If you have diabetes, your body can’t convert glucose into energy.

Diabetes is a long-term condition, however, type 2 diabetes is manageable with a healthy lifestyle including regular exercise and losing weight.
