How to use this product

For external use only. Apply Teangi Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Antiseptic Cream generously to clean skin. Repeat as and when required.

What are the benefits of tea tree oil?

Tea tree oil is a natural herbal remedy, promoting many health benefits due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It can relieve skin conditions such as acne, in addition to treating minor wounds.

What is antiseptic cream?

Antiseptic cream is an important part of a first aid kit. It’s used to soothe and heal wounds, and it protects against infection when you’ve had a cut, graze, burn, insect bite or any other minor wound. Antiseptics work by weakening the growth of bacteria, not to be confused with an antibiotic, which works by killing bacteria.

What’s the difference between antiseptic and antibacterial?

The two sound similar, but they’re quite different. Antibacterial products can effectively kill or slow down the growth of bacteria, but not viruses. Whereas antiseptics can prevent viruses, bacteria and fungi from growing.

What’s the difference between antiseptic and antibiotic?

Antiseptics slow down the growth of bacteria, helping to prevent any further infection. They’re great for cleaning the skin, like the prep before an injection. Although they can kill bacteria, antiseptics’ main strength is preventing its growth. Antibiotics, however, kill the bacteria completely, but they shouldn’t be relied on too much as you can become resistant to them.

When should this product not be used?

Do not use this cream if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
