What are Compeed Blister Plasters?

Compeed Blister Plasters are designed to relieve pain caused by blisters instantly while helping the affected area to heal. This mix pack of Compeed Blister Plasters contains different sizes of plasters, meaning that you’re covered no matter where your blister may appear.

What are blisters?

Blisters are small, fluid filled pockets that form in your skin when it becomes irritated. The fluid in the blister is there to protect your skin from further irritation, but blisters themselves can be painful as they heal. Although it may be tempting, you should never burst a blister on purpose and should leave it to heal naturally. Bursting a blister could lead to infection or other complications.

Why do I get blisters?

Blisters are normally caused by friction in the affected area. If you get blisters on your feet, this friction is normally caused by your skin rubbing against ill-fitting shoes or shoes that are too tight. This friction causes a pocket of fluid to form under your skin, which is a blister. Other common causes of blisters include:

  • Burns
  • Scalds
  • Skin reactions, e.g. allergic reactions

How do Compeed Blister Plasters help to relieve blisters on my foot?

Compeed Blister Plasters help to provide a protective layer which relieves friction in the area around your blister, preventing pain. They also contain a protective gel which uses moisture absorbing particles, helping to maintain the moisture balance in your skin as it heals.

Is this product suitable for diabetics?

If you have diabetes or suffer with circulatory problems, always speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using any foot care products or medication.

How to use Compeed Blister Plasters

Before applying your Compeed Blister Plaster, make sure the area is clean and dry and free from oils or moisturisers. Remove the top and bottom papers from the plaster, taking care not to touch the adhesive side. Apply the Compeed Blister Plaster firmly over the blister and make sure the edges are properly smoothed down. Leave the plaster in place until it starts to come away from the skin, which could be a few days’ time. When you want to remove your Compeed Blister Plaster, do not pull it upwards and away from the skin, instead stretch it along your skin.

When should Compeed Blister Plasters not be used?

If you are diabetic, speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before you use Compeed Blister Plasters or any other foot care products. Do not use Compeed Blister Plasters if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. If you experience any pain or irritation while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist if irritation persists.
