How will it treat my symptoms

Used to clean & help prevent infection. For first aid, Savlon can be used on cuts and grazes, insect bites & stings, minor burns & scalds and shaving cuts. This medicine can be used for skin problems as well, as an antiseptic hand cream, for blisters & sores, chapped skin, nappy rash, spots & blackheads and even sunburn.

Can I buy Savlon Antiseptic Cream Over the Counter?

Yes, you don’t need a prescription to buy this dose, but a pharmacist will need to ensure the treatment is suitable and safe for you.

Active Ingredients:

Savlon Antiseptic Cream contains Cetrimide 0.5% w/w & Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.1% w/w, the medicine also contains Cetostearyl Alcohol, Liquid Paraffin, Methylhydroxybenzoate, Propylhydroxybenzoate, Perfume and Purified Water

Does Savlon Antiseptic Cream cause any side effects?

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. Stop using this medicine and seek medical help immediately if you have any of the following very rare allergic reactions: difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, dizziness, skin irritation or rash. If you experience these or other side effects, stop using and seek medical advice.

What is the recommended dosage of this treatment?

Directions: With clean hands gently apply cream to the affected area. Do not use on the eyes or ears. If symptoms persist, or if any unwanted effects occur, stop using & consult your doctor or pharmacist.

How should I store these tablets?

Do not store above 25 degrees. Use within 12 months of opening, and do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the end of the tube.
