What is Eucerin AtoControl Bath & Shower Oil?

Eucerin AtoControl Bath & Shower Oil is a solution for those who are suffering from dry, irritated skin that wants an effective form of relief. This oil contains 20% Omega acids and over 50% natural acids overall. It is also fragrance-free.

How does it work?

It works by helping the skin retain moisture and prevent it from drying out and reducing irritation. This is done thanks to the Omega acids, which naturally help the skin to retain moisture. This moisture will help to prevent dryness in the skin and reduce irritation.

Who is this bath and shower oil suitable for?

This oil is suitable to be used by adults and children, including babies. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to any of the ingredients in the oil. The ingredients are:

  • Glycine Soja Oil
  • Ricinus Communis Seed Oil
  • Laureth-4
  • MIPA Laureth Sulfate
  • Poloxamer 101
  • Laureth-9
  • Propylene Glycol
  • Aqua
  • BHT
  • Propyl Gallate

Do not use this oil if you only have dry, but not irritated, skin.

Can Eucerin Bath & Shower Oil be used by someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

There is no evidence that there would be any adverse effects if someone who is either pregnant or breastfeeding used this oil. Though if you are unsure about using it, then speak to your doctor.

Can this bath and shower oil be used when using medication?

This oil could bring a benefit to those using creams to treat conditions such as eczema. This is because the omega oils help the skin to keep hydrated, and any moisture applied will be absorbed into the skin. More of the cream used then could be kept in the skin, which will increase its effectiveness. However, some types of medication could be neutralised with the oil. This is because the ingredients in the medication and oil could cancel each other out. If you are taking any medication, then consult a doctor before using this oil.

How should Eucerin AtoControl Bath & Shower Oil be used?

Apply the oil onto wet skin and gently massage it into the skin before rinsing it off thoroughly. Once this is done, gently pat the skin dry with a towel and be careful not to rub the towel into the skin heavily, as this can irritate the skin. Remember not to get any oil in the eye. If you do, then rinse the eye out with lukewarm water.

Are there any side effects?

A side effect will most likely occur as a side effect. If you do notice any side effect, then contact your doctor as soon as possible.
