What is Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion?

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion is a daily moisturiser that will help to moisturise the skin and help restore the skin’s natural protective barrier. This formula will absorb into the skin quickly, making the skin look and feel soft and healthy. This lotion is fragrance and paraben free. It works for 24 hours and will significantly reduce the effects of dry skin after 2 weeks of use.

What causes dry skin?

Dry skin is a condition that can affect anyone. It occurs when the skin becomes dry after losing moisture. This moisture loss is the result of the skin barrier becoming damaged and the moisture escaping as a result. Dry skin can be caused by external or internal triggers. External triggers that can cause dry skin include:

  • Hot or cold weather
  • Seasonal changes
  • UV sunlight
  • Frequently washing the skin
  • The wrong skin care routine
  • Some types of medication

Internal triggers that can cause dry skin include:

  • Genetic history of dry skin
  • Hormone changes
  • Diet
  • Ageing

Not all causes of dry skin can be controlled so it is important that you find the right treatment for you.
