What is Dandrazol shampoo?

Dandrazol shampoo is a treatment shampoo for dandruff that’s caused by yeast or fungi. Not only can this shampoo be used to treat dandruff, but with regular use, it can help to keep dandruff from coming back. If you’re suffering from itchy, irritating dandruff, Dandrazol could be the perfect treatment for you.

What is dandruff?

Dandruff happens when the skin on your scalp becomes dry, flaking away to create the white flakes you’ll recognise as dandruff. Dandruff is common and harmless, but some people may find the white flakes embarrassing as they cling to your hair and fall onto your shoulders. Dandruff can be caused by an increase in Malassezia, a type of natural yeast or fungi that live on your skin and is usually harmless but can cause dandruff if the delicate balance of good and bad yeasts on your skin is disturbed.

How will the ketoconazole in Dandrazol treat my dandruff?

Dandrazol shampoo contains an active ingredient called ketoconazole, which is an antifungal medication. It destroys fungi that can cause dandruff, getting to the source of your dandruff and keeping it from coming back. It can also help to ease inflammation caused by dandruff, relieving itching and redness on your scalp.

Can I use this shampoo if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

You can use Dandrazol shampoo during pregnancy and if you’re breastfeeding. However, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before doing so, so you can be sure that this treatment is suitable for you.

Can I use this product if I’m taking any other medications?

Dandrazol shampoo is not known to interact with any other medicine, but you should still speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you’re taking any other medication to make sure you’re using the right treatment for you. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you’ve been using steroid cream or lotion to control your dandruff, as stopping use of steroids quickly can cause a flare-up.

How to use this product

Shake bottle well before use. Wet your hair thoroughly in the bath or shower and apply a small amount of Dandrazol shampoo to your scalp. Massage into a lather and leave on the hair for 3 – 5 minutes before rinsing away with water. If you’re treating dandruff, use this product twice a week for 2 – 4 weeks. If you’re using this product to keep dandruff from coming back, use this product once every 1 – 2 weeks, using your normal shampoo to clean your hair between uses.

When should this product not be used?

Dandrazol shampoo is not suitable for use in children under the age of 12. Do not use this product if you are allergic to ketoconazole or any of the other listed ingredients. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes and other sensitive areas.
