Why is my skin dry?
Dry skin occurs when your skin doesn’t maintain a sufficient level of moisture. There are many factors that can cause our skin to become dry and uncomfortable. When temperatures drop during winter this can cause humidity to decrease and we also spend more time indoors and in heated environments. This lack of moisture in the air and extended periods in rooms with central heating can cause the skin to dry out. Spending excessive time in hot water, such as baths and showers can also strip the skin causing it to become dry or symptoms of dry skin conditions to become worse. Dry skin can also be caused by a skin condition such as psoriasis, ichthyosis or eczema.
What is Eczema?
Eczema is a common skin condition that typical affects children, but it can also affect adults too. It causes the skin to become dry, itchy, red and uncomfortable. Even though it is possible for it to improve with time and care, it is a long-term condition. Eczema can be found on any part of the body, but it most commonly affects:
- The backs and fronts of the knees
- Around the elbows
- Around the neck
- Hands
- Cheeks
- Scalp
Symptoms of eczema can vary from time to time. You may experience periods where symptoms are not as severe followed by flare-ups where symptoms are more uncomfortable. Symptoms of eczema can also be triggered by certain factors such as soaps, detergents, stress and environmental factors such as the weather.

How to use this product
Apply the cream to the face and body, as often as required. It is recommended to use this product in conjunction with CeraVe cleansers as part of your daily skin care routine. Avoid contact with eyes.

Do NOT use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (see ingredients tab for full list). Speak to a doctor before using this product if you have skin that has wounds or open sores or if you are experiencing any skin irritation.
