What is Aveeno Dermexa Daily Emollient Cream?
This fragrance, paraben-free Aveeno cream is designed to treat very dry and itchy skin by restoring the moisture that has been lost in the skin. The cream is formulated using natural ingredients, including three oats (Avenanthramides, Oat Oil and Colloidal Oatmeal) as well as Ceramides. Using this cream will restore the skin barrier that helps to retain moisture in the skin. This cream is also suitable for anyone who is prone to or is suffering from eczema.
What causes eczema?
Eczema is as a result of the skin lacking moisture because it cannot keep moisture retained within it. The reason why someone may suffer from eczema is most likely to be hereditary. If someone’s parents or siblings suffer from eczema, then the chances of them suffering from the condition are much more likely. Eczema is triggered by a number of different things, including:
- Irritants – these include certain types of soaps such as soaps, shampoo, and washing up liquid
- The environment – cold weather, dry weather, and also allergens can contribute to the effects of eczema
- Certain foods – including milk, eggs, peanuts, soya and wheat
- Clothing such as wool and synthetic materials
- Hormonal changes – women, in particular, may suffer from the effects of eczema during their period or when pregnant
- Skin infections can also make eczema worse
Stress can also increase the chances of eczema appearing. There is no known cure for eradicating eczema completely, only treatments for reducing its effects.

This cream is suitable to be used by adults and children who are suffering from dry, itchy skin and/or eczema. Anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the cream should not use it.
Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this cream?
There is no reason why someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding can use this cream, as there is no known evidence of any negative effects. However, if you are unsure as to whether you should use this cream, speak to a doctor or midwife before using.
How should Aveeno Dermexa Daily Emollient Cream be used?
The cream should be applied to clean skin that has been dried by a towel. It is recommended that this cream is used after using Aveeno Dermexa Daily Emollient Body Wash for a complete skincare treatment routine.
Are there any side effects?
