What is Aveeno Baby Dermexa Emollient Cream?

Aveeno Baby Dermexa Emollient Cream is specially formulated with the highest concentration of oat extract*, oat oil and prebiotic oatmeal for babies with extremely dry, itchy skin who are prone to regular irritation and itchiness. It’s free from parabens and fragrance and can be applied to the whole body twice a day, achieving healthy looking, more resilient skin from day one. This soothing cream is enriched with ceramides, an essential component of the skin structure, with this formula also helping to strengthen the skin barrier.

This emollient cream comes in a recyclable carton.

*versus all other Aveeno Baby products.

How to use this product

To use, apply to your baby’s entire body at least twice per day. For a complete routine, use Aveeno Dermexa Daily Emollient Body Wash, and for long-lasting comfort at night, apply Aveeno Dermexa Fast & Long-Lasting Balm to help soothe dry, itchy skin.

When should you moisturise your baby’s skin?

It’s best to apply moisturiser to your baby after their skin has been exposed to dry air, after a bath, and when their skin is noticeably dry due to sensitivity, irritation or eczema. It’s important not to confuse the white, sticky layer on your newborn’s skin as dryness - this is called the vernix, a natural moisturiser that protects them against infection in their first few days of life.

Why should babies use products specially formulated for them?

Products that aren’t designed for babies could damage their delicate skin, so it’s important to always look for products specially formulated for babies. Your baby’s skin is thin, delicate and prone to dryness more so than adult skin - fragrance, soap and alcohol shouldn’t be included in baby skincare products as it can irritate their skin, or may even induce an allergic reaction.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
