What is Balneum Plus Bath Oil?

Balneum Plus Bath Oil is a treatment for dry skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis which can be used by all ages. It helps to ease itching and irritation caused by these conditions while protecting the skin from becoming drier.

What is eczema?

Eczema is a skin condition which affects a large number of people. It can occur in small patches of skin or over widespread areas, leaving sufferers looking for effective relief. If you have eczema, you may notice symptoms which include:

  • Dry skin
  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Cracked skin

How does Balneum Plus Bath Oil treat eczema and dry skin?

Balneum Plus Bath Oil contains the active ingredients soya oil and lauromacrogols, which both works to treat dry skin conditions. Soya oil is an emollient which helps to replace the oils that your dry skin has lost, leaving it feeling smooth and soft. Lauromacrogols are local anaesthetics, which help to relieve the itching and irritation caused by dry skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.

How to use this bath oil to treat dry skin conditions.

Before using Balneum Plus Bath Oil, shake the bottle well. For a full adult’s bath, add 1 capful of bath oil to the bathwater. For a child’s or baby’s bath, use around a quarter of a capful, for bathing in a bowl or sink, 1/8th of a capful will be enough. Add Balneum Plus Bath Oil to bath water and get into the bath. Stay in the bath for at least 10 minutes, but not more than 20 minutes. Do not use soap while using this product, as it will remove the Balneum Plus Bath Oil from your skin and can cause further drying of the skin.

When should Balneum Plus Bath Oil not be used?

Do not use Balneum Plus Bath Oil if you are allergic to soya, peanut, or any of the other ingredients listed. This product is not suitable for those who suffer from the fresh pustular forms of psoriasis (psoriasis pustulosa). Balneum Plus Bath Oil can make your bath slippery, so take extra caution when getting in and out of the bath when using this product. Take care to clean your bath thoroughly after using this product.
