What is Alphosyl Shampoo?

Alphosyl Shampoo is a treatment for dandruff and dry skin on your scalp. Use this shampoo exactly as you would your regular shampoo to treat your entire scalp, perfect for those who have psoriasis, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, or dandruff. If you have an itchy, flaky scalp and need a way to ease your discomfort and reduce flaking, Alphosyl could be the ideal treatment for you.

What causes dandruff?

Dandruff is a common skin condition that lots of people experience at one point or another. When you have dandruff, the skin on your scalp becomes itchy and dry, and as your dry skin flakes away you may notice white or grey flecks of it in your hair. There are lots of different causes for dandruff, including some dry skin conditions, such as:

  • Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Eczema
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Psoriasis
  • Cradle cap in babies

How will Alphosyl 2-in-1 shampoo treat my dandruff?

Alphosyl shampoo contains an active ingredient called coal tar, which works as an anti-scaling agent. This means that this shampoo breaks down the keratin that makes up part of your skins structure, breaking down your dandruff in the process. It also helps to relieve itching, making you feel more comfortable in your skin.

Can I use this shampoo if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this shampoo. If your doctor says it’s okay for you to use this product while breastfeeding, make sure all traces of shampoo are washed off before feeding your baby.

Can I use this product if I’m using another medication?

If you’re using any other medication, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. Some medications can interact when used together, and a medical professional can help to be sure that your medications are safe to use together.
