What is Hydrogen Peroxide Solution 9% 30 Vols?
Hydrogen Peroxide Solution is a disinfectant that kills bacteria by releasing oxygen when it comes into contact with body tissues. It can be used on minor cuts, wounds, and ulcers or as a gargling solution.
How to use this product
Always use Hydrogen Peroxide Solution exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. To use as a skin disinfectant, dilute a portion of the peroxide with an equal amount of water. Soak some cotton wool in the solution and apply it to the desired area.
To use as a mouthwash or gargling solution for adults and children over the age of 12, dilute a portion of a portion of the peroxide and 40ml of water. Use this solution to rinse the mouth for 2-3 minutes. Repeat up to 3 times per day.
How does hydrogen peroxide protect minor cuts and wounds?
Hydrogen Peroxide protects minor cuts and wounds by releasing oxygen when it’s applied to the area of injury. This release of oxygen causes a foaming action, which helps to remove dead skin and dirt to clean the area from any potential irritants.
